1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Shopletzy Private Limited is incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 and has its registered office at Level 8 & 9, Olympia Teknos Park, No. 28, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai, 600032, India.

This policy covers information collected through shopletzy.com, the Shopletzy merchant application, merchant dashboards, Shopletzy-powered storefronts, and the Super customer application. Individual merchants may publish additional privacy notices for their own stores and customer relationships.

2. Our role in handling information

When you use Shopletzy as a merchant, we generally process store, employee, and customer information to provide the Services to you. You may have independent legal responsibilities for the information you collect through your store, including giving your customers appropriate notice and responding to their requests.

When you use Super or interact directly with Shopletzy, we determine how information is used to provide discovery, accounts, addresses, orders, notifications, support, and security features. When you place an order with a merchant, that merchant may also process information needed to fulfil the order.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information such as your name, email address, phone number, and authentication details.
• Merchant information such as store name, business details, catalog, pricing, staff, and settings.
• Customer information such as delivery addresses, saved stores, preferences, and order details.
• Payment and billing information needed to process subscriptions, invoices, or orders. Payment card details may be handled directly by our payment providers.
• Messages, support requests, feedback, and other information you choose to send us.
• Information you provide when connecting supported business or social accounts to Shopletzy.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser or device type, operating system, approximate location, access times, and referring pages.
• Application identifiers, crash information, diagnostic data, and interactions with the Services.
• Location information when you use Super discovery or grant location permission. You can use available alternatives, such as entering a location manually, where supported.
• Cookies and similar technologies used for essential operation, preferences, security, analytics, and campaign measurement.

4. How we use information

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

• Create and secure accounts and authenticate users.
• Operate merchant stores, catalogs, payments, orders, inventory, customer communications, and analytics.
• Power Super discovery, follows, saved addresses, store announcements, checkout, and order history.
• Process subscriptions, invoices, payments, refunds, and fraud-prevention checks.
• Send transactional messages, service notices, security alerts, and—where permitted—marketing communications.
• Provide support, troubleshoot problems, improve the Services, and develop new features.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other unlawful activity.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

5. When we share information

We may share information with:

• Merchants, when necessary to process or fulfil an order, provide store services, or respond to a store request.
• Payment, hosting, storage, messaging, analytics, mapping, customer-support, security, and infrastructure providers that help us operate the Services.
• Business or social platforms that you expressly connect to Shopletzy, subject to the permissions and terms of that platform.
• Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or investors where reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process information only for the purposes described in their engagement with us. We require appropriate safeguards from providers that handle personal information on our behalf.

6. Connected accounts and messaging integrations

If a merchant connects a supported Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Business, or other business account, we may process the account identifiers, profile information, access tokens, messages, and content needed to provide the requested publishing, messaging, or automation feature. We use connected-account data to provide that feature and do not use it for unrelated advertising. Merchants can disconnect an integration from the relevant Shopletzy settings or contact us for assistance.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect accounts, and operate the website. Where used, analytics or campaign technologies help us understand website performance and measure communications. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect some features.

8. Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your account credentials and notify us promptly about suspected misuse.

Our providers or affiliated entities may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual, technical, or other safeguards for such processing.

9. Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Account information is generally retained while an account is active. Order, invoice, payment, tax, and security records may be retained for longer where required or reasonably necessary. Marketing information is retained until you opt out or it is no longer needed.

You may request deletion of your Shopletzy or Super account and associated personal information by contacting us at contact@shopletzy.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain information that we are legally required or otherwise permitted to keep. Account deletion does not automatically delete information held independently by a merchant or payment provider.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, withdraw consent, object to certain processing, or receive a copy of information you provided. You may also opt out of promotional communications by using the unsubscribe mechanism in the message or contacting us.

To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact contact@shopletzy.com. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law. If you use Shopletzy on behalf of a merchant, we may direct your request to that merchant where the merchant is responsible for the relevant data.

11. Children

The Services are intended for businesses and general audiences and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our Services, data practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version on this page and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services or by email where appropriate.
